Rediscover Your Love for Paper Pumpkin Creative Projects
I’ve been a Paper Pumpkin subscriber for a very long time, and I love exploring new ways to make Paper Pumpkin creative projects each month. Back when my life was busier with work and social commitments, Paper Pumpkin was my little crafty escape. Each month, I could sit down, create my projects, and have beautiful cards ready to use anytime. Fast forward a few years, and I’ve been hosting monthly stamping classes, which reignited my creative habit. But my Paper Pumpkin kits had taken a back seat, piling up as I worked through my class projects.
The July kit changed everything. I purchased a friend’s tutorial to spark my creativity and sat down to play. I cased a few of the projects (which means I “Copy And Share Everything” from someone else’s design, a common crafting term), and I also made a few of my own original designs. Before I knew it, I had nearly completed the full kit! A few more projects are still on my wishlist, so I even ordered a couple of refills to keep the inspiration flowing.
Why Paper Pumpkin Kits Inspire Creativity
Perhaps it’s the strawberry theme that tugged at my heartstrings. Strawberries remind me of my childhood home in Buena Park, California, where my family had plants in both the front and back yards. Yes, my mom made us weed the plants all summer long, which I definitely did not enjoy. But the joy of picking and eating strawberries? Absolutely priceless.
I also remember visiting the strawberry fields in Buena Park as a kid. There’s something magical about picking your own fruit, and clearly, that childhood love has stuck with me. Strawberries remain one of my favorite fruits today, and my youngest granddaughter, Mila, will never say no to anything strawberry!
My Favorite Paper Pumpkin Creative Projects

Here’s a peek at a few of the creative projects you can make with Paper Pumpkin kits:
- Handmade cards and fun fold cards – I added extra cardstock to create fun folds but stayed true to the kit’s color theme.
- Cased Strawberry Flap Card – I couldn’t resist copying this adorable design from a friend’s tutorial (cased means “Copy And Share Everything,” a common crafting term).
- Slimline Card with a coordinating envelope – I love a slimline card, but they need an envelope, so I put together this template and made the matching envelope out of the 2-tone Cardstock in Pool Party
- Upcoming scrapbook page – Next on my list is a mini scrapbook page featuring my cute little strawberry-loving granddaughter, Mila.
Mixing inspiration from others with my own creative spin keeps each kit exciting and full of possibilities. I still have a few projects on my bucket list to complete before the next kit arrives!
Pro Tip: Keep a small journal or list of alternative projects to maximize each kit. Trust me, it keeps the creativity flowing month after month!
